Notes from our Customers

Just a note to confirm I received safe delivery of the 8 Ball and to take the opportunity to thank you and the team at Sideways for the excellent customer focussed service. It was a real pleasure dealing with fellow motorcycling enthusiasts and I will certainly be keeping in touch via the Yahoo Group and occasionally popping down in person on the bike.

Hopefully a good home will be found soon for the KTM Duke II - it's been a fantastic bike, had funds allowed I'd have kept it in addition to the 8 Ball, but as I see it, there's an opportunity now for some one else to discover the delights of a cracking supermoto machine and future classic.

Rick Hodge from Somerset

Oh my god!!! Rain, wind, fear, excitement, I had it all on the way home. arrived safe sound and in one piece so a good start. The bike is lovely!!!

So glad I got it...

Notes from our Customers

Hi Chris, Just wanted to say thanks again for the efforts I got from yourself pushing the paperwork through and your crew getting the bike ready for me today. That kind of service puts other American v-twin bike companies to shame. The hot drinks were a nice touch too, second to none, thankyou.

Afghan Heroes

There is a Sunday ride on the 14th March through Wootton Bassett in aid of the Afghan Heroes charity, founded by mothers of the young men and women who have fallen on active service in Afghanistan.

The ride takes place on Sunday 14th March, and the bikers from all over the UK will be meeting at the Leigh Delamere services on the M4 before riding at slow pace through Wootton Basset and then on to the base at RAF Lyneham. For those of us who want to ride onto the base at Lyneham it is essential to register for security reasons, and this must be done by Monday 15th February.

You register online here: afghanheroes.org.uk

There will be a £5 per person collection on the day and each rider will receive an Afghan Heroes wristband. We'll give more information about start time from here closer to the date of the ride, for now it's only important that you register at their website.

Thanks to every Victory rider that came along, it was brilliant to see so many Victories together, another one coming soon, so watch this space.

Calling all Victory Riders

Are you available for a gentle ride out on Sunday 13th September?

Something we have been wanting to put together is a series of Summer ride outs. Sadly Summer is almost behind us already, but we think we have time for at least one or two meet ups before the leathers get put away for the winter.

Our aim being to bring like minded Victory riders together where we can have a bit of a ride around the Dorset countryside and stop off some-where for a nice pub Lunch with plenty of discussions about Motorcycles.

The first ride will set off from the Blue Vinny public House, at Puddletown, meeting at 11.00am for coffee then we set off on a pre-determined route ending at the "Three Elms" North Wootton, near at Sherborne for a 1pm Lunch.

If this is well supported then our aim is to build on this, and even arranging something "continental" next year.

It will be great to see you if you can make, so please come along if you can.

This invitation is open exclusively to any-one with a "Victory motorcycle" and I think it's going to be great seeing as many of you as possible.

Please let me know if you can make it, Any questions then please don't hesitate to contact me directly. Details of the destination pub are shown below so you can book your own lunch directly.

Thanks and look forward to seeing you, meanwhile..

Ride safe.

Chris

Rider members,

Thanks to the many of you who came to Poole Quay yesterday evening and wandered over to our stand to say hello. Considering it was a very blustery evening there were a lot of bikes there, a very respectable attendance indeed. My thanks go especially to Graham Rule on his Hammer S, and his friends all on Victories from Southampton, and not forgetting our very own Chris David, Victory Ambassador. These bikes certainly captured all the attention at the Quay, and a lot of -bike riders had a very good drool, including a guy who's just bought a new Harley and wished he'd waited.

Thanks again Guys,

Chris

TESTIMONIALS

Hi Chris,

Just wanted to drop you a quick email to say thanks for your hospitality and finding time for a chat when I visited Sideways last Saturday. People are always very friendly and make you feel most welcome.

Also pass on my thanks to Bob for the work he did on the bike.

Shall be seeing you again in a month or so’s time for the Annual Service!

Kind regards,

Bob

Dear Chris,

I just have to write to tell you how much I am enjoying my new Victory
Vegas 8-Ball I collected on Saturday. I really enjoyed the whole experience
right from the moment I first saw the bike on the stand at the NEC, through
to our e-mail and telephone communications, through to the test ride which
was fun and without any pressure. The whole experience was professional,
and fun which was in stark contrast to some of the dealers of other V-Twin
Bikes who at times were quite intimidating and seemed to have that "take it
or leave it" attitude. The 2 hour ride back to Calne from Crossways was
great, I had a smile the size of the Grand Canyon after arriving back home.
The admiring stares (the Bike, not me!) and the jaw-dropping attention from
other bikers and non-bikers alike was hilarious. I've been out every day
since and the 8-Ball handles, looks and sounds just like a Cruiser should
and I am sure I have made the right choice. My son and my best friend have
both just ordered bikes and have both openly said that they wished they had
waited and test-ridden the Victory before buying different V-Twin Cruisers.

The staff at Sideways are really friendly and helpful and I look forward to
revisiting for my 600 mile service next week.

Hi Chris
Just to let you know I arrived back in Plymouth OK around 6:00pm - the bike went well, in fact I was enjoying the ride home so much I decided to take the Lyme Regis to Exeter route, then across Dartmoor to Ply - the Duke seems to be the perfect match for these types of road, its so agile and responsive, I'm now looking forward to another blast this weekend.

Thanks once again for all your help and professional courtesies.

Very best regards

Chris,

Many thanks for the way you dealt with my purchase of the KTM 950 SMR.

It's good to deal with someone as professional as yourself.

The KTM 1190 RC8 Superbike voted the bike of the show and star of the International Motorcycle & Scooter Show. The price is now confirmed at £10,695.00.

The KTM 1190 RC8 Superbike was unveiled at the EICMA show, Milan on Tuesday 6th November.

The bike was first unveiled to the British public at the International Motorcycle & Scooter Show NEC.

At the very heart of the 1190 RC8 is the completely newly developed super sporty two-cylinder based on the well known LC8 range of engines, which, with a top performance of 155 hp and a maximum amount of torque of 120 Nm delivers an overwhelming amount of power to the rider. A unique light tubular steel frame, highest quality suspension and brake components and unusual technical solutions such as the exhaust positioned under the bike complete the 1190 RC8, which weighs just 200kg with a full tank. The result is a Superbike that truly lives up to its name in every sense of the word.
